Police Arrest Suspect in Campus Burglaries

��ϲʿ��ͼ police officers arrested a Davis man early this morning (Nov. 12) in connection with a series of burglaries on campus.

Officers responded to an alarm at the ��ϲʿ��ͼ Medical Group clinic on West Covell Boulevard at about 3:30 a.m. With assistance from the Davis Police Department, officers set up a perimeter and arrested Bluehawk Gonzales as he exited the building carrying a cash box.

Arrest Made at 4 A.M. in Art Building

Responding to a student’s report of a damaged office door in the Art Building before dawn today (Feb. 21), campus police arrested a man whom they found asleep in the office. Police took Nicholas Chavez to Yolo County Jail on a charge of felony vandalism.

Chavez is not a ��ϲʿ��ͼ student or employee.

Police Sgt. Bill Beerman thanked the student who reported the damaged door at 4 a.m. “We were able to make this arrest because the student was engaged and called us,” he said.
