Two notable alumni — Nobel laureate Charles Rice and former pro football player and patient advocate Rolf Benirschke — will return to the University of California, Davis, on Friday, March 15, for an on-stage conversation about scientific innovation.

* Oct. 30, 10:30 a.m. — Jennifer Doudna, the 2020 Nobel laureate in chemistry, will speak about her work on CRISPR and its intersections with COVID-19 at the upcoming Distinguished Speaker Series in Research and Innovation. The free, online event, co-organized by the ��ϲʿ��ͼ Office of Research and the School of Medicine, will be live, but registration is required.

Alumnus Charles Rice Wins Nobel Prize for Medicine

Charles M. Rice, who earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis, is a recipient of the 2020 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine announced this morning (Oct. 5).
