Professor Keith Watenpaugh, director of the Human Rights Studies program at ��ϲʿ��ͼ, leads an innovative project to help refugee students start or continue their university education — even as they are displaced and on the move.

Last year, at the abandoned Idomeni train station in Greece, I spoke with Kurdish sisters from Syria. They were living in a makeshift refugee camp on the nearby border with Macedonia. Just a week before, a small boat had carried them across the Aegean from Turkey. Back home, the women, both in their 20s, had studied health sciences at the University of Aleppo.

About 180 university faculty and administrators who work in international education and engagement are expected to attend “Lead Your Campus to the Top: Best Practices in Internationalizing the Campus” and pre-conference sessions.
