Police and Fire Exercises at MU Dec. 15, 17 and 19

The ��ϲʿ��ͼ Police and Fire departments will hold a series of training exercises for an active shooter event during the winter break. The exercises will take place Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, Dec. 15, 17 and 19, from about 8 a.m. to noon at the Memorial Union on campus.

Expect to see police and fire vehicles and activity in the area. The exercises will include simulated gunshots and volunteers made up as victims.

The northwest corner of the campus is a training site this week for the ��ϲʿ��ͼ Fire Department and other Yolo County emergency agencies. The training revolves around a bus crash, using an old Unitrans bus as a prop.

Fake Bus Crash Is Setting for Emergency Training

The northwest corner of the campus will be a training site next week for the ��ϲʿ��ͼ Fire Department and other Yolo County emergency agencies. The exercises will revolve around a bus crash, using an old Unitrans bus as a prop.

The bus has been tipped on its side at the old Orchard Park apartment complex at Russell Boulevard and Highway 113. The apartments are empty and fenced off, due to be torn down this summer to make way for a new apartment complex for students and families.
