Dear Men’s Basketball Team, Coach Jim Les, and Assistant Coaches Kevin Nosek, Kyle Vogt and Jono Metzger-Jones,

On behalf of the entire ��ϲʿ��ͼ community, congratulations on winning the Big West Conference and moving on to the NCAA tournament!

Some might only know us for our leading agricultural college in Northern California, but the nation is learning we are that and leaders in so much more. That's all because of you.

The world is a better place because of the work of our Chancellor’s Fellows — early-career faculty members working to improve health, understand the challenges facing endangered species, cut greenhouse gas emissions and more.

This year’s class of Chancellor’s Fellows comprises 11 associate professors or recently promoted full professors — rising stars in their fields who have now received one of the university’s highest honors and will retain the title for five years.

Ralph Hexter Now the Interim Chancellor

Ralph J. Hexter’s title changed last week, from “acting chancellor to “interim chancellor.”

UC President Janet Napolitano appointed him acting chancellor in April, and, when the office of the chancellor officially became vacant, she put forward his name to be the interim chancellor. The Board of Regents approved her recommendation on Sept. 15.

Ralph J. Hexter issued the following statement today (Sept. 15) after the UC Board of Regents approved his appointment as the interim chancellor of ��ϲʿ��ͼ. He had been the acting chancellor since April; then, after the position became vacant, he needed board approval to serve as the interim chancellor.
