Students studying for finals last week shared a late-night meal in the Coffee House with campus leaders like Chancellor Gary S. May, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Ralph J. Hexter, Athletic Director Kevin Blue, and others. They served up breakfast burritos, pancakes, fruit and other food starting at 9 p.m. on Dec. 10, and posed for photos with students.

The tassels have all been turned, the stages walked — spring commencement season is complete, and now our graduates are showing off their decorated caps on social media. The annual contest, overseen by the Office of Strategic Communications, encourages social media users to vote for their favorite caps by “liking” photos on Facebook. Voting runs from 10 a.m. Wednesday (June 19) and ends at 11:59 a.m. Thursday, June 27.

Who has four legs, wears a black coat and works alongside medical staff? Huggie, the newest member of the ��ϲʿ��ͼ Comprehensive Cancer Center team and the first facility dog at ��ϲʿ��ͼ Health. The 2-year-old Labrador retriever supports children receiving treatments in the Pediatric Infusion Center.

Huggie works Monday through Friday with his foster mom and child life specialist Jenny Belke, to help normalize the environment and motivate pediatric patients, and reduce any fear, stress, anxiety or pain they may be feeling.
