Scholarship Students Share How Philanthropy Powers Their Paths

During times of crisis, philanthropy can make an even more profound impact on those affected. Generous donor support, from sources like emergency funds, endowments and scholarships, is helping power the people and programs of ��ϲʿ��ͼ through new challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although classrooms and many residence halls have emptied, faculty and staff are working hard to keep the university running. Students are learning remotely, and most importantly, our health care providers at the ��ϲʿ��ͼ Medical Center are saving lives every day.

Supporting ��ϲʿ��ͼ’ Own in a Time of Need

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the ��ϲʿ��ͼ community showed what it cared about: supporting students struggling with basic needs like food and housing, along with aiding health care providers saving lives on the front lines and medical researchers racing to find solutions.

Those priorities were emphasized by Chancellor Gary S. May and other university leaders as well as schools, colleges and other units across the ��ϲʿ��ͼ and ��ϲʿ��ͼ Health campuses, who set up emergency funds aiding those groups as the crisis unfolded in March.
