Searches Announced for 2 Vice Provosts

The Office of the Provost released this announcement Feb. 15.

Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Mary Croughan has launched national searches for the positions of vice provost and dean for undergraduate education (VP/DUE), and vice provost for enrollment management (VPEM). The provost expects both positions, which report directly to her, will be filled no later than September 2022.

Recruiting for a Permanent VC of Student Affairs

Chancellor Gary S. May has appointed a recruitment advisory committee for the position of vice chancellor of Student Affairs.

Emily Galindo has been filling the role on an interim basis since March 2018 after Adela de la Torre vacated the post to become president of San Diego State University. Galindo, who started at ��ϲʿ��ͼ as an administrative assistant 35 years ago, is featured in the video above.

Recruiting for 2 VCs, Chief Campus Counsel

Chancellor Gary S. May has launched national searches for two vice chancellors (Human Health Sciences and Office of Research) and chief campus counsel.

All three positions report directly to the chancellor. The vice chancellor positions became vacant last year, but the university delayed its searches for replacements pending the arrival of May as ��ϲʿ��ͼ’ new chancellor. He started Aug. 1.

Dean Search Update: College of Biological Sciences

Forums continue today (March 10) and next Wednesday (March 16) with candidates for the position of dean of the College of Biological Sciences. A March 14 forum has been canceled, because the candidate scheduled for that day dropped out as a finalist. Forum details are available online.
