Management Skills Assessment Program

Applications are being accepted for UC鈥檚 Management Skills Assessment Program, designed to assess the management skills of high potential, early career supervisors, managers and professionals for future leadership opportunities at UC.

The next MSAP program is scheduled for Oct. 10-13 at the UCLA Conference Center in Lake Arrowhead, for employees from around the UC system.

IP Licensing Academy underway at King Hall

澳门六合彩开奖结果走势图鈥 sixth annual Licensing Academy in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer began this week at the School of Law. The King Hall academy, for commercial law students, lawyers, technology transfer officers, academics and inventors, is a collaboration of the law school and 澳门六合彩开奖结果走势图鈥 Public Intellectual Property Resource in Agriculture (PIPRA) program.

The academy is international in scope, serving 澳门六合彩开奖结果走势图 students and others from Asia, Africa and the Pacific Rim. This year鈥檚 class comprises 36 students from 19 countries.

The two-week academy comprises seminars, case studies, field trips, group projects and a two-day license agreement writing workshop.

Speakers include 澳门六合彩开奖结果走势图鈥 Dushyant Pathak, associate vice chancellor for Technology Management and Corporate Relations, Office of Research; and Alan B. Bennett, distinguished professor of plant sciences and executive director of PIPRA; along with other 澳门六合彩开奖结果走势图 faculty members.

The program also features talks by intellectual property managers and technology transfer officers from 澳门六合彩开奖结果走势图鈥 Innovation Access, program managers from 澳门六合彩开奖结果走势图 Corporate Relations and the Graduate School of Management, and leaders from other campus partners as well as IP professionals from Silicon Valley and Sacramento.

Support group for caregivers among us

WorkLife and Wellness and the Women鈥檚 Resources and Research Center will host a facilitated monthly support group for staff, retirees and students who are caring for adults who are sick, disabled or fragile with age.

Clinical psychologist Louise Bettner will facilitate the group the second Friday of each month, starting July 8, from noon to 1 p.m. in the WRRC Conference Room, North Hall. No reservations necessary.
